Abe Lincoln's stepmother
Hi there my friends
Every wise woman buildeth her house Proverbs 14:1 KJV
Sarah Johnston Lincoln 1788- 1869
Sarah was a widow with 3 small children when Tom Lincoln appeared at her cabin in Kentucky in 1819. A year earlier, Tom had lost his wife, leaving him with 2 small children. He asked Sarah to marry him, and she accepted.
What Sarah found out at the Lincoln cabin in Indiana, saddened her. The floor was dirt. The children barely had clothes on their backs. Soon after Sarah's arrival, wooden planks covered the dirt floor, and the Lincol children had new clothes.
Sarah, was a kind, cheerful person, who knew how to manage children. From her, young Abe learned about fairness as he saw Sarah treat the stepchildren and her own the same.
She sensed great potential in Abe, and although she could not read or write, she encouraged him to educate himself. There were few books in the one room cabin, but they had a Bible, and he read it until he knew much of it by heart. Years later, Abe's speeches and writings were enriched by quotations from the Bible.
Abraham Lincoln said of his stepmother, "God bless my mother; all that I am or ever hope to be I owe to her."
Good homes do not just happen: They are built. Live by biblical principles and teach them to your children and they, like "honest Abe," will be a strong force for good in a fallen world.
Ladies do the best you can to build your home how our Lord desires you to. Do not look at what others think is right only you and the Lord knows what is best for you.
I love you all, have a blessed day.

Motherhood Matthew 5:14-15
Ladies I do not know if any of you have heard of Mary Lee Bright but she was a wonderful example of motherhood.
Mary was the mother of 7 and she held out a light for her family in more than one way. Her son, Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ International, said of her "The greatest influence in my life has been my mother's life and prayers. She was the most godly person I have ever known."
I read about her a while back and here is a little example of what she was like:
Is that you Bill? Mary called in the darkness. yes mom it is I he answered in the distance Bill could see the faint light his mother carried.
When the Bright children stayed after school to participate in extracurricular activities, often it was evening when they arrived home. Concerned for their well-being, their mother would meet them on the dark road and guide them safely home with her lantern.
The world is a dark place; there is a need for light. you can be that light. Reflect godly attributes and a prayerful attitude, and people will be drawn to Christ. Even one faint glow in the blackness of night makes a difference. Remember ladies we are a very important light to our children and grandchildren. I have failed many times but keep on going. Be a light to our children today. Spend time with the Lord and them and enjoy.
I love you all

Good Morning Ladies
My Dear Ladies
I was just thinking about all of you beautiful ladies today and asking the Lord to bless your day. What is your day looking like? Are you going to enjoy it I sure hope so.
Remember to enjoy the beautiful sunshine, smell of the flowers, the sound of the birds, all the beautiful colors, sound of the ocean, your beautiful sound of your babies, children yes even teenagers. Just try to enjoy your day somehow and make a few minutes to thank the Lord for all that you have.
My day is looking like this:
spend time with my Lord, clean up kitchen, make meal for my husband bible study, prepare raw broccoli soup for my ladies bible study, make lunch, take it to my hubby, do accounting for my husbands business (not looking forward to this but you got to do what you gotta do, study for school, enjoy my animals, and find a few minutes to enjoy the beauty.
Who said old age is boring LOL not me that is for sure
Love to all
REMEMBER BABY-STEP YOUR DAY AND ENJOY
